Is it also double the reward for vanquishing an area? The login notice does not specify. I'm assuming it does but as I didn't get around to playing this weekend event last time I thought I'd double check beforehand..

It's only from bounties iirc. The other sources come under double vanq rewards and double books respectively.

Though I may be wrong.

Yes, anything that rewards SS/LB points except turning in the Night Falls books will get you double SS/LB points: bounties, vanquishing, quests, missions, zaishen bounties/missions, etc. The login announcement for these types of events have always been vague.

FYI, there are never any events that increase points from turning in any storybooks.
